Dor Lotan, MD

Dr. Lotan earned his medical degree with honors from Semmelweis University and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology training at Sheba Medical Center in Israel before pursuing advanced heart failure fellowship training at Columbia University. He joined Columbia as Assistant Professor of Cardiology in 2023. With extensive experience in complex heart failure management, including LVAD therapy, heart transplantation, pericarditis, myocarditis, and other complex inflammatory heart conditions, Dr. Lotan combines advanced clinical expertise with a strong commitment to academic medicine. He also serves in leadership roles related to patient education and disease advocacy, including on the board of directors of the Myocarditis Foundation.
