
Tom Wang, MBChB, MD
Prior to this, he was staff cardiologist and co-director of the Pericardial Diseases Center in the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute of Cleveland Clinic, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Wang’s clinical and research interests span pericardial disease, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, aortic disease, advanced multimodality imaging, cardiovascular procedures and clinical trials. Dr. Wang chaired the 2025 American College of Cardiology Concise Clinical Guidance document on pericarditis, served as vice chair for the 2024 international position statement on multimodality imaging and management of pericardial diseases, and co-authored the book chapter on Pericardial Diseases in Braunwald’s Heart Disease: Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine.
